Luxul XWC-1000 Wireless Controller NEW IN BOX

Not very useful for the professional user...
Does what it says it will do. Easy setup of Luxul AP's. However, it allows for little control of the AP's. Configures them all on the same wireless channel, and doesn't let you set a static IP address or adjust wireless settings like client isolation. The "seamless roaming throughout my network" isn't really a function of the controller, that happens automatically when you set all of the AP's to the SSID and subnet. When you have adjacent AP's you want to make sure they are not on overlapping channels (for 2.4GHZ that would be channels 1,6, and 11). The controller sets all AP's to channel 6 causing interference with neighboring AP's. I spoke with Luxul, and they said they will be releasing new firmware to address these problems after the first of the year. Frankly, this controller does little for the professional user. Far less than other brand controllers. That's why you are finding people dumping them for little $$. I'll give it a couple stars for the novice users out there that will probably find it useful.
