If you are into folk, rock, whatever, this memoir about paying ones dues is relevant.

I didn't really know about Dave VanRonk except the name was familiar. Everyone knows Dylan, but Dave was on the scene first. Incredible look into the early folk movement in the East Village of the early '60s.
