Get to know how it works and it will reward you with better than expected images.

The controls are small but so is the camera, it easily fits into a jacket pocket, or even a jeans pocket. If you are going to carry it this way make sure you fit a screen protector!
I use a Sony full frame as my main camera, however there are many occassions that I dont want to carry even a mirrorless camera and that is where this little guy comes in.
The image qualty is very good considering how small the senor is - stabilization is good and the zoom range is excellent. The last point has turned out to be a real bonus. I did not expect it to perform as it does - however it works best in good light and I am very pleased to have a 720mm equivelent focal length ay my disposal.
Just a couple of tips - use ISO 80 for this camera where possible, resulting images are cleaner.
Rember that when you zoom in the F stop changes - it doesn't change back when you zoom out, you have to change it manually - not a big problem as after a while you do it automatically.
One final bonus for me iare the 4k photo modes - shoot in 4k and save a still from the video, all in camera - yeah!!
Would I recommend this camera for the casual travel photographer? - You bet I would!!

Keeps your boot tidy
All my accessories that I normally carry are now contained in a neat holdall. I use it velcro'd to the side wheel arch which, on my vehicle makes more sense than on the rear of the back seats, which I fold quite often.

An excellent solution for tripod levelling
I use this device more and more - it makes correct levelling achievable - essential for panoramas.
Research YouTube to find out why it's important to correctly level your tripod - it's not just the top plate of the head that needs to be level!
