Poorly designed
Instead of being a ring binder design, it has the pages held by small straight bolts which do not allow the pages to lie very flat. It is a very poor design. I have ordered another similar book that does have ring-style binders and will sell this one off on eBay as lightly used.
Overall, it's an attractive album--just poorly designed as far as the binding system

Does the the job, but with reservations
I have only one issue with this item. It is well made and compact, but the Issue I have is that it is comprised of two separate components--one of which will be all too easy to misplace.
To be more precise--the cross bar is not permanently attached, but simply a loose piece that one inserts in a hole through the side of the wrench. The bar is only 1 and 5/8th inch long and is peened on one in so it won't slip completely through.
This helps a bit, but IMHO they should have peened it on both ends so it would be a permanent part of the wrench. It would still slide back an forth like the cross bar on a C clamp so one could get both clearance and the best leverage, but would be next to impossible to become separated and lost. I can see myself having to resort to a old nail or something similar when that little bar goes missing at some point.
