Cheap and silent
Didn't want to spend much as this is for a second spare PC. Good price and runs at 1200 rpm, so silent

Great little knife

Bargain great sounding speakers
My desk doesn't have space for my bigger active monitors, so wanted a pair of reasonable sounding speakers until I get down to Ikea for a bigger desk. Since they speakers are just a short term solution for a few weeks I didn't want to spend much. I'm had many Creative products over the years, so started by searching Ebay for a Creative solution. Found a pair of Creative T10 speakers for under 22€ (delivered!). Did a little research and found the T10's come highly ranked, so back to Ebay and purchased the previous search. They arrived within three working days. Described as 'nearly new' they didn't have any marks and once setup they sounded great
Each speaker is about 60cm from my ears so didn't need to push them hard. Tested with a number of different types of music and all performed well except for the deepest drum and bass under heavy load. At high volumes you notice a lack of bass. At normal loud volumes that shouldn't upset your neighbours the sound is near the quality of mid range hifi equipment. I've had some Creative T20 and the T10's come close at lower power outputs. If you play music in an office or near people you just wouldn't need the extra power of the T20's. The small footprint was the deal breaker (front 9cm back 13cm).
