Real Grunge
3 of 3 found this helpful First things First.. This is a great and unique pedal. So many of these distortion boxes use the same chip and are virtually the same. This is true to the original DOD (loud, butt, face, grunge) version. That makes it and uniquely sounding and gives you more drive, saturation and signal or wave length shaping than a lot of the other boxes. I disagree with people who think this is more of a "Metal" box. Don't get me wrong it will work for "Metal" however if you adjust it correctly it sounds just like the early Seattle movement. Grunge today has taken more of a "Blues/Fuzz" sound than when Nirvana and Alice-n-Chains started. This will give you that original tone including Sound Garden and the likes. If you are looking for fluidity and don't mind the dirt this will work well for you. Today you can pick up the DigiTech version cheep which makes it a great value.

Unreliable poor quality
I have actually purchased two of these. In both cases the end plugs have fallen apart. And I am in no way hard on them. Both were used in my bedroom and never moved or gigged. It is a nice heavy cord too bad they don't put a quality end jack on them. I had to repair both on mine with aftermarket jacks. There are much better quality cords out there to be purchased.
