FOR BMW DOUBLE TWIN DUAL VANOS SEALS REPAIR SET KIT M52 M54 M56 WITH GASKETS
    Sep 14, 2019
This particular kit includes some parts that the online instructions suggest you should reuse, but aside from that no problems.
The existing gaskets for the cam cover were brittle with age, and I could rattle the pistons on the VANOS cylinders once the oil was removed, so this was always going to be an improvement. When fitting the outer PTFE seals to the pistons, try the larger diameter ones first.

For BMW DISA Valve Rebuild Aluminium Repair Fix Kit Overhaul M54 3.0 ltr
    Aug 26, 2019
If your DISA valve needs this kit, it won't look like the one in the video.
Nicely made parts that fit well. The fitting video showed the supplied grease and thread lock being applied to some surprising locations if they're to do the job, plus - it seems the one they used as an example was in good working order rather than in need of repair (the steel pin was rolling around inside the manifold on mine, and definitely didn't need to be pried out). A torque setting would be useful, as would some better advice on getting the original pin out of the blade. HTH.
