It was NOT designed for this!
1 of 1 found this helpful So, this is a computer fan. I get it. It's not supposed to be installed on one of the baddest dual sport motorcycles in the world and be expected to not only keep the motor cool, but actually survive doing it.
But........ That's exactly what I have this thing doing. It's ziptied to the right side radiator of a KTM 450EXC and ran through a master on/off switch and a thermoswitch.
It's been running probably about 60 hours so far. Most of that has been in the grueling heat of Mexico at speeds ranging from 85 KMPH to metal melting low speed, high rpm hillclimbs. It's done some pavement, but mostly nasty, rocky trails and really bad dirt roads. On the last trip, the radiator mount snapped off, but the fan just kept on humming along.
It doesn't push as much air as the optional fan that KTM sells specifically for the bike, and probably won't last as long, but I can buy several for the price of one KTM fan. The only time the bike has overheated since installing it was on a long (about 3/4 mile), steep, loose, rocky, and slow technical hill climb. Before I installed a fan on this bike, it would have been splooging it's guts out. This time, It only popped the pressure valve when I stopped and let it idle for about 30 seconds.
Pretty tough fan, considering what it was supposed to be used for.

Should have left the old stock speakers in
The first thing that struck me when I unboxed these speakers was how light and cheap they felt. My doubts about them where confirmed when I replaced my original basic 2005 Chevy Colorado speakers and turned them on for the first time.
The first thing I noticed was a substantial loss in volume and bass. The loss of overall fidelity compared to the base stock speakers was very noticeable. (2005 Chevy Colorado Z85 LS, stock speaker setup is 2 full range speakers in rear doors, 2 mid range in front doors, 2 tweeters in front doors).
In purchasing these, I wasn't looking to make my old truck into a crazy entertainment center. I was just trying to replace the worn out speakers that it came with. One of them had developed a buzzing noise over the years. I had recently replaced the factory head unit with a Pioneer unit.
I know these are not high end speakers, but I thought they would at least be equal to the cheap original factory speakers.
Very disappointed with these speakers.

Axxess LC-GMRC-01 Interface
Item seems to work perfectly and the chime sounds better than the factory chime on my 2005 Chevy Colorado.
There is a USB port on the chime that is evidently used for some sort of programming or updating but I've not been able to find anything about it.
For some reason, my stereo will not dim when the headlights come on. I don't know if it's a flaw with this item, or maybe it's the head unit.
If I could change anything about this, I would have it chime more than five times if you turn the key off and open the door with the keys in the ignition.
