Fuel Filter in line with Carb in engine Compartment
Used on many 1950-60 Fords and Chevrolets. Came with new rubber like Gasket to seal glass bowl filter housing to fuel line filter cover. Used on T-Bird 1957 D Bird. Older filter wads leaking fuel once engine started and mechanical fuel pump applied pressure to carb inlet line. Old filter gasket was hard and had decreased in diameter, so new flexible gasket solved the dangerous fuel leak problem.
Remember on older collector car that haven't been run in a couple of weeks: always start with the hood up and an observer standing by with a fire extinguisher, these cars develop leaks after not running for awhile. 250cal
