Misleading but works great dry
I used these patches on some holes and tears created by weights on the pool cover which fell into the pool during high winds. Most of the patches covered dry areas since the water drained out of the pool, but one patch was placed on an area toward the bottom of the pool as it was filling. I hadn't noticed this spot until water was close to the bottom of the damaged area. The part of the patch that went on the dry portion stayed put. The part at the bottom that made contact with water was pointless. It floats around and no matter how much pressure or how much I tried to get it to adhere, it would not stick. I'm glad I was able to use these on the dry liner because where I did, the patches held tight and the pool is full of water with no leaks. I wouldn't trust using them under water though.
