Native American songs with thrilling harmonies and syncopation
My first experience of this First Nation's women's trio was a wonderfully intimate concert in Oakland CA. That was a while ago and I wondered if this recording would delight me as much as the live music did. Happily, these musicians' voices, harmonies, rhythms, and themes continue to thrill me. Many of the songs are traditional, a few are contemporary, and all share distinctive Native American qualities and the righteous harmonies and syncopation of the Ulali singers. Mostly acapella, with percussion on some numbers. The CD arrived in beautiful condition; I'm very pleased with both seller and musicians!

Splendid Celtic musicians
I discovered this group and album when I was looking for a gift for my sister, who loves Celtic fiddle music. Old Blind Dogs sounded so good, I got the album for myself as well. These are just outstanding musicians. Their music is lively and lovely and beautifully executed.

Rivers and Tides--Andy Goldsworthy Working with Time
Andy Goldsworthy creates art out-of-doors from the natural materials on hand. His work--with ice, leaves, stones, running water, etc--is evocative, surprising, beautiful and often ephemeral. So it's great material for a video treatment. I'm a huge fan of Goldsworthy's work and this film marvelously portrays its creation, movement, and change over time, interweaving the art, natural setting, the artist's musings and music. I've introduced dozens of people to "Rivers and Tides," and they've all loved it.
