Cisco kit - it works
Ideal POE switch for anyone really. Out-of-the-box functions perfectly ok - POE enabled on all ports, but should you wish to be more granular regarding configuration of vlans/qos etc then knock yourself out. To sum up, its Cisco kit - it works.

Impressive kit of a motoring icon - don't be put off by the size....
1 of 1 found this helpful Arrived well packaged despite the size of the kit. I have built one of these before so was a little concerned as to whether it would arrive undamaged but i need not have worried.
Anyone who is considering buying one of these would have already done the research online regarding the kit, all i can say is that it represents astounding value-for-money. Once completed its nearly 2 foot long and a very impressive re-creation of an iconic vehicle.
Loads of detail out-of-the-box, but due to the size of the kit plenty of scope to really go to town should you wish. I for one would not bother as the parts count (over 1000) covers virtually everything even down to the nuts that hold the gearbox to the engine block.
One thing i would recommend is mount the bodywork side panels to the floor-pan with tape temporarily whilst constructing/gluing the other major bodywork parts together. Wait for the glue to cure then remove the completed bodywork from the floor-pan to enable you to paint as you see fit.
Due to the size of this i suggest you go for auto paints in rattle-cans from a well-known car parts/accessories chain - pick a historically accurate colour (they did come in colours other than black, honest! - do some research, i picked Bordeaux red with black wings front and rear) then have a look for a close match from the aforementioned chain of shops. You'll save a packet compared to bespoke model spray paints.
Not many 1/8th car kits available of this quality at this price - take your time and enjoy every moment - the kit was tooled in 1977 and despite being over 40 years old the tooling has held up remarkably well.
If you're anything like me by the time you've finished this you will be looking into buying an example of the real thing - for the record by all accounts they are a surprisingly drive-able everyday classic with a sure-footed handling that belies their age.
