Love the book, love Apple Stack Cake, love stories that go with it.
I got such a good price, I thought the book might be "iffy." But it was in excellent shape and arrived in a timely manner. I got up my courage and made the mountain favorite, Apple Stack Cake. I took part of it to a great friend from the Cumberlands, and she said it was very good, and said it brought back many lovely memories. Then she told a story about one of her stack cake experiences. Which is a round robin. I read a good story with a recipe in the Shuck Beans, Stack Cake, and Honest Fried Chicken book, took some cake to a friend in return for another story that will stay with me forever. To me that is a perfect example of what a good book can do.
