Amazing story cycle, beautifully sung.
This is such a good CD - I'm on a Tom Russell kick, having been fortunate enough to hear & see him in concert recently.
Starting with this 1st CD of his Americana trilogy, I ordered the 2 remaining CDs (Hotwalker & Rose of Roscrae) while I was still listening to this CD: The Man from God Knows Where. I need to hear how this story unfolds.
This CD is a powerful tribute to all those who've made America - all the settlers, dreamers & refugees who've come to the States for such a long time, each and all hoping for a better life. All this is sung through a telling of Tom Russell's family history. It can speak to all of us, and it certainly spoke to me, evoking gratitude and compassion, as well as great appreciation for Tom Rusell - his song-writing, singing and the scope of his vision. Also amazing were the supporting voices, evoking different characters in this story.

Beautiful uke case.
This case arrived today. It looks just great and fits my soprano uke snugly and well. It is well-made, with good attention to detail: Three strong latches, good stitching, and nice padding inside. This case locks, and 2 keys were included, as well as a padded shoulder strap. This is my 2nd Gator case, and I really appreciate the quality. Thank you.
