Laser Tools Pulley Locking Tool - 2928

It does work , but ????????

Yes it does work , but it does have a couple of issues . It's only suitable for timing type pulleys , not auxiliary belt pulleys , which is a different design , and this tool is unable to grip . Secondly , i don't feel the tool is strong enough , i was forced to switch to a different design to complete the job . The belt didn't fit the teeth properly , but the major weakness in my mind was the belt itself . Whilst torquing up , i couldn't get anywhere near the value (97nm) , even with the belt under heavy stress . To my mind , there was a strong chance the belt would snap , so i changed to a back up design , purchased later for the other design pulley , after i realised it won't fit . This design will hold a pulley , but not lock it completely . I would only give it , a 5/10 . Sorry , not recommended .

Well impressed .

Very good product , mixes easy , smooth to lay , easy to sand , even in difficult corners . Paint covers it well , excellent finish , just use flexible primer . I've repaired a bumper , 3 wheel spats , and modified a dashboard . Every time this product has been used , to make the repair good , it's never let me down . I've even fared aluminium !

Exact replacement , nice tight fit on the intended unit . Fog lights are now fully replaced , job ticked off .
