Does not power up Canon PowerShot SD950 IS Digital Elph

Did not work in my Canon PowerShot SD950 IS Digital Elph. Camera would not even power up. Put it in charger and charger showed full charge with green light but this battery did not power up the camera. Old battery worked fine. Not sure if all these generics are made well. Bought an STK version NB-5L and that worked fine.
