a good low level jack
good quality low level trolley jack perfect for the cac when height is a problem swivel jack handle is good when obstacles like supporting blocks get in the way

sata usb adapter
1 of 1 found this helpful works fine with small laptop drives but if you want it to work with 3.5 desktop drives you will need at least a 1.5 amp extra power supply to enable the bigger drives to spin up its not a fault as other adapters without the extra power adapter wont spin up the 3.5 desktop drives at first i tried an 800ma 12v that did not work i know it works with a 1.5 amp 12v supply maybe a 1 amp would do but for reliability i would go for the larger one that said still easier than pulling your base unit open to try a sata drive so it does the job

switch mode power supply noise
2 of 2 found this helpful the power supply is a switch mode power supply good for general use powering up circuits BUT if your into looking at small waveforms the noise generated by this supply can make triggering difficult and not being able to get a steady waveform and the waveforms suffer from noise which is not good i have 2 of these and both are the same fitting extra mains filtering and ferrites within the power supply dont cure the problem so stay away and get a normal linear power supply if you wish to monitor waveforms on any connected equipment overall its a nice lightweight power supply but has issues with noise generated most wont notice this but its no good for my work test done on digital scope and a TEK 475 the digital was worse but even the Tek scope was hard to get stable clear waveforms but was fine when using a linear P/S the pic shows worst case noise ...if P/S was put on a 15 ft extension lead from another mains socket the noise dropped by half.... i redid all earthing to caseing no differance to problem added extra mains filter unit still same so obvious circuit design problem with noise from SM part getting back out
