Best camp knife IMO (currently)

Great knife, good weight, balance, grip in hand. Would prefer a coke bottle handle, but that’s my preference. The sheath needs to be improved so it rides lower, great the it can pivot, but still not my preference. Making the clip removable and the sheath molle compatible would solve this. Honestly a knife at this level should have multiple carry option. Spending another $50 for the dangler sheath shouldn’t b the only option. Luckily I can make my own so now it’s perfect. The knife came sharp out of the box and preforms perfect for my needs. Holds an edge great and sharpening is as expected for this steel. Weight may b an issue for light packer types, to them I’d suggest an Esee 4or5. Knife serves the task of food prep, bushcrafting, and camp setup/maintenance. Due to grind slicing not so great but doable. Only other knife I carry Beyound this is an Esee3HM, fills the gaps where the Tops isn’t so great. Mainly in the food prep area. Can’t go wrong with the Tops BOB, make sure to keep it oiled as the uncoated part will rust quickly in wet conditions. Take care of your tools they take care of you. Photos are of the kydex (I made) and molle backer (Esee3/4 size) I put together.

Innovative and excellent

Great knife all around. Made of high quality materials and a great production knife from a custom maker. Hope this is the beginning of button locks and light switch flippers for Spyderco and/or the industry.
