Do not trust this .. Multi readings .. Reads to fast Not accurate .
I bought one of these and should have googled it first. Yes in 2 seconds you get a read but it changes each time you use it. I tried 5 times and as it warms up the temp seems to go up. So if you clean it under cold water or your room temp varies you get different reads. Mine was 97.3 , 97.6, 98.2, 98.8 then 99. I have an older model that sits in mouth till temp levels out. maybe 20 seconds ? Much better. Do not trust this one

Power issues
I bought this because the listing stated works with Batteries OR dc power. The basid batteries supply 3 volts to the unit but the 5 volt power supply i measured with a very accurate digital meter showed it puts out 6 volts twice what should be used to run this. I assume this was designed to use rechargable batteries but the green ones provided are regular batteries (super fine print) and a fire hazard if you try to recharge and live sitting in your home. I suppose i cannot use with without rechargeable batteries because of this power supply . Returning this.

A very nice unit that has great sound. Plays 10 presets of AM or FM. You need the remote to use presets and set time etc. Also it does CDs and has an Aux port in and out. You can use this for IPOD or MP3 player. The mode light is on/off via the remote also. Word of caution that the 3 power supplies that come with this unit are suppose to put out 10vdc but actually put out 14vdc and i had to replace mine with one made by Home to not overheat the unit and cause service issues over time as it did for 2 I have owned.
