With trapezoidal shape, it's very hard to work over square surfaces like pool sides and steps.
Whoever designed it must've never cleaned the pools. With trapezoidal shape where the widest parallel side is closest to you and narrowest side is the farthest, it is almost impossible to clean leaves that are next to the walls, or around 90 degree surfaces such as steps. You have to extend your hands holding the pole 3 feet from the edge of the pool over the water, risking falling into the pool. They should've made it either rectangular, or at least the widest parallel side the farthest.

Works nicely; solid contacts.
My original one was working only intermittently, constantly burning bulb contacts.
This one seems to be as solid as it's supposed to be.
