Excellent but life of the unit is variable
Excellent little device. i have literally had dozens of them and I have 12 installed all the time for different watering systems. My only complaint is that they variably fail. By variably, i mean some don't even make it out of the guarantee period. However, if you are within the guarantee period my experience is that Melnor is good at replacing them. I don't usually purchase an extended warranty bit with Melnor water timers, especially the 4 outlet unit, I do which I would recommend.

It does an excellent job of timeing watering cycles that should suit most gardeners.
It has great feature that will cover most average used water needs. However, the reliability if variable. Some will last a month or two and other for many years. However, Melnor, if great at replaced defective times during the warranty period.
