Great Book for Native American History Buffs
Excellent and well written guide on a subject that is very seldom written about: the daily lives of the early Native Americans who lived in the Chattahoochee Valley. The native societies occupying this region for over 10,000 years gradually transformed into the tribe that was historically known as the Creek Indians. In this 279 page book, author William W. Winn describes in some detail how these groups survived and thrived in their complex social structures that depended entirely on the natural world around them. Their history, social customs, interactions with other people, foods, weapons, hunting strategies and languages are just a few topics discussed in detail. The author's use of illustrations and Creek words while referencing most topics including game animals and usable plants added interest to this outstanding and unique book.

Larry Jon Wilson's heartfelt lyrics and raspy voice grabs your soul.
I don't know much about the technical side of writing and producing music but I do know what I like and I love this CD. Song writer and singer Larry Jon Wilson wasn't a want-a-be country boy. Born in rural south Georgia, he was the real deal. He was so original, the Nashville in-crowd wouldn't welcome him to their country music capital. He had
his own writing style and you only have to listen to one of his songs to know he has sipped squeezed scuppernong
wine and roamed the Hoopee River Bottomlands. His lyrics take me back to my younger years while growing up in the deep south.
This is a great traveling CD; well written, professionally produced, folksy, and just pure Georgia country. This CD takes you on a trip down the Georgia back roads and into the artist's soul. A great find.
