It's Aluminum wire
1 of 1 found this helpful Might be great for speaker wire, but not good for passing amperage, or current, or electricity. 100% copper wiring is much better for ham radio electrical conduction, like providing your ham radio with 12v power from a car battery, or if in need of soldering. Aluminum is not very flexible.

Wrong part
0 of 2 found this helpful Had a replacement sent out, it too had a bad batch of the locking parts, assembled with wrong center piece for legs and mast. Finally got it straightened out, had to dissassemble fully and reassemble with the correct part which did have the threaded locking knob. No schematic, no parts numbering, no description of parts, very poorly done, when trying to resolve. I understand now why some folks just call it Mighty Fine Junk.

Really closer to 2400 to 2500 mAh, not 4000.
