Poor quality - Incomplete coating on 1inch ball and rubber fir in fork stem to soft

I fitted this item as described but after first use the rubber split near the nut and the nylon gripping washer, harder rubber should be used and it is now useless as it does not secure the TomTom, My only option would be to buy a new rubber for fitting in the fork stem. The 1" ball was not completely covered with plastic coating either.
