Excellent book - brings science into the equation
2 of 2 found this helpful Whether or not you choose to attempt a Whole 30, this book brings great information about nutrition, physiology, and psychology. I've struggled with an unhealthy relationship to food for most of my life, and this book helped me understand the different elements at play - most importantly the physiological and psychological responses to food. There is such a strong mental component and it was incredibly helpful for me to identify that it's not just about how the food makes me feel physically, but the control and effect it had on me mentally. And I say HAD because after completing a Whole 30 my relationship with food has totally changed; I'm totally aware of my relationship with food and I'M in control now
