It works.
What I can tell you is that it works. For an average of $40.00 dollars it will find your wire. Just listen for the static to change pitch and there is your wire. I was digging where I thought it was and used the locator and it was 2 feet to the right. The locator found it in 1 minute. Do not listen to all the negative comments complaining about poor quality or what ever they can find wrong with it. Let those people pay hundreds of dollars more. Those types of people will find something wrong with anything. I am happy with my purchase and it did work. When using it just listen well and when the pitch changes go back and forth and dig where the sound changed. This is your best bang for your buck. When your using it think how much you saved and be glad. It won't dig the hole for you.

I felt charging 2 shipping charges and it came in envelope was a not right.
Good quality product. I ordered 2 was charged shipping for 2 . They are made of plastic and extremely light. I liked the product but did not agree with 2 shipping charges. Is that a way to make extra money?
