Good Looking But Requires Minor Mods
1 of 1 found this helpful I have purchased two of these feeders in recent years. Quickly found out that the weight required to close the feeder holes was too large, and the as purchased configuration did not allow enough spring adjustment authority. So, I had to drill about 4 additional holes, in a vertical direction, at each spring attachment location to permit more variability in the adjustment authority. With the additional holes at the top spring attachment points, I can now make very precise changes in the spring force holding the feeder holes closure mechanism open. The result is that we can keep dove from hogging all the food while permitting the more desirable lighter weight birds like cardinals, blue jays and wrens to feed freely! Also, when the feeder is spun by the wind or by squirrels jumping on to it, some seed is ejected, falling to the ground, where the squirrels can get it. The squirrels have learned this trick very quickly. Nonetheless, it is a good feeder, and I would buy it again!,

Overpriced and less functionality
Valves being purchased today are terribly more expensive and seemingly less functional than approximately years ago in terms of maintaining the proper temperature.
