I have now watched 5 of the tragedies. The casting is superb as is the acting and direction. The productions are very conservative since nothing is done to take away the essence of each play. A bonus are the subtitles. I have seen most of these plays in the theatre but since the language is so dense and sometimes difficult for the actors too project I have probably only been aware of 50 % of the play at any one sitting. With the subtitles I can both see the text and hear what the actors are saying. This is a vast improvement on seeing a live performance. Perhaps thespians should take note of what most opera companies use during their performances: SURTITLES!
