I am the owner of J&M Custom Builders, and we strive to find quality kits to build so our customers receive a beautiful accurate model replica, and this kit is worthy of joining our subject line up, this is my first time seeing or owning this kit, and compared to other model kit manufacturers, I have to rate this a 10 plus, each precion engineered sprue comes individually wrapped, perfect fit, triple the parts that other pick-up truck models have, 2 wheel options and a very nice spare tire and matching rim. This is the only version I know of that makes a diesel version pick-up truck, well executed details. The price may be a little higher than other kits, but once you see the beautiful box it comes in, and the instruction book all the attention to details and quality, you'll have been realizing that for once, a company delivered the goods and you got your money's worth, kudos to MENG.

These have been a old favorite of mine, I am a former fire fighter now trucker and a custom model builder, I have taken these apart and with a little tape, A-line wheelsets, accessory parts from alloy forms and a sheet of decals from micro scale, this rig will be the high light of any layout or diorama, as far as scale, these are close to 1/87, a bit large in the can area, but once you dress these up, they seem to for right in. these can also be altered to mate with pralines tractor drawn ladder trailer providing you scratch build a trailer tiller cab, a very exciting addition to the big Walthers fire station kit.

0 of 1 found this helpful Built this in 1975, still a Great kit, I like the fact there are tons options on aftermarket products to be able to really customize this truck, instead of paying big money for a resin conversion double bunk, I used two of these and had parts left over to do a day cab version, so there is no waste chopping these up, pick up some accessory details and a working steer axle and Baddabing, you have a impressive rig, I suggest painting all chrome using Dupli-Color #SS100 Stainless Steel or a automotive grade aluminum paint as the sprue cuts are very visible and will give it a realistic appearance.
Over all, I highly recommend this kit.
