easy to use
1 of 1 found this helpful very easy to install and very easy to use. this 69.5 yo female can have a 10 ft 45# kayak on or off in no time. no tools needed for installation although i bought some washers for it......rides well but keep in mind the center of gravity is a little higher and wind resistance a little greater compared with carrying inverted kayak directly on roof rack...but no flipping needed once you have it on the roof. in addition to this saddle i use a kayak roller mounted on my cars back window for an easy lift. also, because the saddle is easy to remove, just be aware of possible theft if you leave it on car. i mount mine in the middle and you have to open door and stand on running board to reach it (unless one climbs up on the car).

remove carpenter bees before they escape
works great mine is full of dead bees. however when the carpenter bees get on it you must remove them with pinchers or they will buzz until they break away.

good buy
a good buy for occasional night riding. if I were a hard-riding, heavy user of night cycling I would invest in a little better quality. to open, remove small screw and insert somethng like stiff wire into hole and push. then pull hard on lid or "door" to insert AAA batteries.
