Amahl and the Night Visitors
A wonderful copy of the 1978 NBC broadcast of this beautiful made for TV opera. Would have preferred a DVD print, as VHS machines are getting harder to find, but I did transfer it to DVD.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it is a nice performance to view at any time in the year, not just during the Christmas season. One does not to be an opera affectionado to enjoy this performance, so I highly recommend it for viewing by the whole family.

An easy read and very funny introduction to birding
The writer, Joey Slinger, is a hilarious writer, but while his book is very entertaining, it provides a serious introduction to the hobby of birding. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in birding, especially a newbie like me.
Even an accomplished birder would thoroughly enjoy reading this book!
