Beautiful
I started buying these in the late 1970's. They are the best handgun rugs I have seen. The interior sheep wool is wonderful. The perfect residence for one's pristine blue steel revolver or 1911 design semiauto. However, they are not the best choice for rough locations and rough handling. Pelican style hard cases must be used for those conditions or airline travel that require secure issues. The reason I state that they are not a good value is because "as new" condition items have become very expensive since the late 1970's. I overpaid because I wanted this item which is "as new". It is the only size that I did not have. I have a beautiful 7.5" barrel Interarms "Virginian" revolver manufactured for Interarms by Hammerli in Switzerland from approximately 1973-1976. It is a Colt Peacemaker style single action, blued revolver that deserves this residence. I live in SW Colorado in a high altitude desert environment with very low humidity most of the time. Humid environments are not a good place to store blued sidearms in these rugs because of oxidation concerns. A very thin layer of quality lubricant or wax should routinely be applied to any firearm that resides in an item such as these Browning rugs. This advice applies to all cases, etc.
