Quick and fully functional
10 of 11 found this helpful I bought these dumbbells, because I was trying to save money and trying to save space. Following the $1 per pound rule, which is less than what you would usually spend, a set of dumbbells ranging from 5 to 55 lbs would cost $660. These bowflex dumbbells cost me $279, no tax, no shipping.
AND, they go up from 5 to 52.5 lbs in increments of 2.5 pounds (5, 7.5, 10, 12.5). The dial system is very easy to use. Basically these guys sit in the cases you see. While there sitting you turn the dial on both sides of the dumbbell to your desired weight and lift. For workouts like p90x (1,2, or 3) and Body Beast, where you have to change weights quickly, they are faster to change out than pulling dumbbells off of a rack. They are by far the best investment I've made I would say in anything.
