No programming needed.

Just hooked it up and it works great. I put the IR emitters directly on the IR receivers (red dot) on my devices and the remote transfers through the emitters also, (direct control without using Extender). Please try placement by holding or taping it on before you adhere permanently.

Great multifuction device but instructions unclear. Read review, it will help.

Great item and works great. Instructions should tell you that you have to have it plugged into a 12/24v source to change from C to F. NICE!
