Nikon 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR AF-S DX Nikkor Lens
Oct 28, 2015
I'm no longer changing lenses all the time and I always have the right one.
Prior to owning this lens, I frequently lost photo opportunities because I had the wrong lens on my camera or I was in the middle of changing lenses. I love that I can take a photo of a large group of people or a large scenery shot and two seconds later zoom in on one person or a dainty flower in the middle of the large scenery that I just took a photo of seconds before. The only downfall is that it is a bit heavy, but not any heavier than carrying around two to a half a dozen lenses. One of the things I take lots of photos of is our marching band. I can photograph the entire group as they march down the street then focus on one member just like that. I can get the entire group spread across a football field, or take an up close photo of one person on the back row across the field and all are clear. I probably wouldn't have been able to afford this had I not bought it on eBay where I got a great deal!

Great All In One
I've purchased three of these - the first one for myself, a second for my college bound son, and a third as a docnation for the local Recreational Center. I like that you only buy the ink cartidge that is empty - they're $10 @ at HP and they pay the shipping - I don't even bother to make a trip to the store. The ONLY thing I don't like about it is I have voice mail on my home phone system and I have to manually answer incoming faxes. This isn't necesary if you have a personal answering machine at home - only if you have an answering service from your phone company. Other than that - I think it's perfect. It's not huge, but it does a huge job. We have to make multiple copies of our taxes which can sometimes be 30 pages or more - I just remove the staple and place the pages in the document feeder, start it and walk off. It works the same way for multiple page faxes. I wouldn't be without a flatbed scanner/copier so you can do books. I love that you can remove the back panel and get easier access to paper jams, although I've not had any since I started using this all-in-one. It does have borderless printing, copies black and white or color, faxes black and white or color and will even do photo printing including minor fixes (red eye, lighten, darken, sharpen etc) without using the computer - just place your card into the card reader for your photos. It prints all sizes and types of paper - haven't found one yet that it won't handle. My last HP lasted almost 12 years (could no longer find the ink cartidges) In my opinion, this is a great buy for the money. (The three All-in-ones averaged about $200 before shipping in late 2007 - early 2008) I think I talked my sister into buying one as well. 1-31-2008

Shark Rocket Zero-M Blue Corded Vacuum Cleaner

Great little vacuum for the money - I hope it never wears out!
I love these little vacuums; this is my third one. With the 30 foot cord I can plug it in and reach most of the rooms in my house at once. It is easy to switch from the power head to a brush or other wand and back in seconds. I wash the filters once a week. (I have two sets of filters so one is always clean.) I use this far more than my Kirby, which I thought was the cadillac of vacuums until I bought this. I use it on carpet, on concrete in the basement, on vinyl in my kitchen and bath, on wood floors, and on ceramic tile. I liked it so well I bought one for our church because it will go in between and under the church pews. I love the version that prevents hair from wrapping around the brush roll - it will wrap dental floss, yarn, and carpet fiber, but not most hair. The lights are a great help too.
