Audiophile thumbs up.
1 of 1 found this helpful Using akg k450 126db 11hz - 29khz very low noise. Bass boost fabulous but wasn't required. Ample volume right down low. 1 bit DAC 8x oversampling. Frequency response 20-20khz. Wow / flutter below measurable limits. Line out 0.6v RMS 47kohm. Headphones 15mw @32 ohm. Bass boost +6db. DC 3v or 4.5v external. Came with insignia alkaline batteries. Tough plastic protection to travel 12000mi. Supplied Insignia headphones , no noise at all and still loud, prefer the bass on.
Sound very pleasant and very comfortable.

Cd player mechanism noise reduction
This reduced electronic noise inherent with my sony CD player that is heard when you pause a cd . It zeroed any noise with my sennheiser 18hz - 18khz hd2.10 headphones. With my super sensitive akg k450 126db 11hz - 29khz phones it gave me very low noise which is truly remarkable. So, it works a smart idea.
