This little device definitely eliminates the P.i.t.A. involved in runnimg new wires for a defunct system. It also has a vast assortment of chime tones, making it much easier to find one that pleases your particular taste.

Good things can come in small packages.

The speakers died on my vintage 2008 Mac, & these speakers seemed like a logical alternative to disassembling a quagmire of computer parts. I appears that I made the correct decision related to these items. The sound quality is quite good, despite their compact size. The price point is acceptable. The only caveat is the blue light emitted by these items. If one feels around on the bottom of the device(s), the screw detents can be located. Removing the bottom plate allows access to the (2) leds, which can be covered w/black tape. Of course, if you find the blue light appealing...enjoy.
