It’s not effective yet but maybe it needs more time
I’ve had some of my koi fish for over 35 years I always bring them in for the winter. For the first time I’m having trouble with nitrate levels. I guess it’s taking longer for the water to condition. It usually is conditioned by now . I brought them inside. December16th. I even used Zeolite granules. The ppl gel I used before had a strong Oder to it and it worked fast to eliminate the nitrate to zero. At this moment the nitrate is 5.
Maybe it needs more time for the bacteria to build up. I used a different brand that worked faster.

solar lights are dependable as the sun
The light set was easy to set up. I strung them up on a poly type string with cloths pins. I put the solar panel's post in a 1 litre bottle filled with sand. I hung it on the poly string, you can angle it towards the sun. The set has different work modes. They are working great for what I bought them for.
