Save your finger
1 of 1 found this helpful It has a good fit, a textured surface to come in contact with your braided line, and it saves your finger. When surf casting repeatedly your index finger can take a real beating, this finger shield prevents that.

Great Product If You follow the INSTRUCTIONS
1 of 1 found this helpful It is fairly easy to use, just follow the instructions on the tube. I was using another brand that can be loosened with hand tools and it just wasn't working the way I thought it should. I have a Ruger MK IV 22/45 and the optics base mount wasn't holding with the other brand. One possible reason being the mounting screw closest to the rear sight has to be shortened so that it will not interfere with the gun's bolt, leaving fewer threads to hold it tight. I cleaned everything thoroughly followed the instructions explicitly and my mount is holding strong. I put about 350 rounds through the gun, cleaned it twice and pleased with the results.
