Great deal! Don't forget the battery!

The items arrived on time, in great condition. I ordered 3, though 2 were in anti-static bags, the third was not. All were individually bubble wrapped, and packaged nicely. I was slightly upset about the third not being in an anti-static bag, but over it.

I ordered these for my Dell R715 servers (AMD Opteron based version of the R710) - There is barely enough room between the SFF connectors and the case side wall, but there is room. It takes patience and delicate maneuvering.

The cards came with 512MB cache RAM, which is why I purchased these.

Other things you may want to consider purchasing:
1) SFF cables (these can differ from system to system) You'll want SFF-8086 to what ever your backplane is, or to SATA type if you're plugging directly into SATA or SAS drives (which will also need an adpater)
2) Battery - To use write-through, you'll need a battery. To ensure cached data is written to drives on power restoration, you'll want a battery.
3) Battery supply cable - my servers came with these, so not an issue.

Also, there's no case mount bracket, they're intended for Dell proprietary holder and slot.

Good, clean, works great!

Working great! My server supports only PC3L-10600, so it's running in reduced speed, but that's my bad. Should had confirmed - but will work in other servers when I get around to swapping things around. Great value, clean, shipped well and quick!

the least expensive top performing thermal paste in large quantity tube I could find. Not disappointed. Spreads well. I'm old school and coat my CPUs in thermal paste with a slight bulge in the center, no thicker than a sheet of paper. I've never had issues with thermal throttling, SMD shorts, or even overflow messes. MX-4 works very well for this, but does take a little more patience to spread than Arctic Silver.

Absolutely amazing!

I got this when it was on sale for 999.99.
The guy, Yusuf, came out to my house when the parts arrived and installed everything for me! He even "tested" the parts by trimming all of the edges and weeds around my property! What else can you ask for?

The only problem I have is that I've been using this for about 2 months and I have run out of string and cannot get in touch with Yusuf again.

Maybe he's delivering gallons of Goats milk by bicycle to remote areas of the world. He's such a a great guy!

Good product, bad tracking # - arrived 10 days earlier than informed.

as described, seemingly functional. Good length. Sections are long enough to do 2x2 2.5" drive layouts as well as 1x4 layout with a spare for optical drive, though it's a tight fit to use an optical drive, but depends on the PC case layout.

Because it is entirely too small for me to wear this thing.
I don't have an abnormally large head, but this was not designed for a man's head. At least not a non-asian standard size male head. It pinches on the back of my skull causing the earbuds to protrude away from my hears. Forcing the earbuds to my ears worked, and I could possibly use them, but not comfortably at all. Thankfully, however, I bought this for my girlfriend, whom has a smaller skull and can wear these very comfortably. Score!

UPDATE: My (now) wife has enjoyed music from this for over a year. It's still going strong!

CAUTION: My R715 uses SFF-8087 - and these will NOT work!

The cables are quality made - at least from the outside. I cannot use them, however, as I require SFF-8087 cables.

I did not realize these were not SFF-8087 cables, because I read they are compatible with Dell PowerEdge R715. They might be, I don't know - but they're NOT compatible with the three R715s I have. Each server has a drive backplane using SF-8087 connectors, as do the H700i RAID cards which go with them.

Perhaps Dell changed the connectors mid-cycle for the R715, or maybe someone mixed up what an SFF-8087 and SFF-8643 are. I don't know.

I am now in a time crunch because I assumed, my bad, that being these cables are stated to work with R715, that they were in fact the correct cables. The length is correct, however the connectors are not.
