Since beginning our ebay store in July of 2017, we have prided ourselves on offering free shipping on nearly all of my listings. It is now October of 2019 and as of 10/1/19, 34 states have enacted some type of sales tax for internet purchases. I have always figured shipping, eBay & Paypal fees in advance and included them in my prices, but, now, if I do that, you will be paying sales tax on shipping because it is part of the purchase price. So, I will be going through my listings and change this so that you only pay sales tax on the actual price of the merchandise. Why would we wish to pay sales tax on something we don't have to? Things change in this world!
