About us
Touch of Turquoise is anything from here in the Southwest, especially Native American quality collectibles: jewelry, rugs, pottery, baskets, folk carvings and cabochons. But we love our turquoise! This store is a 2nd generation family business. The 1st generation began their collection in the late 1950's in Gallup, New Mexico then began a retail store in 1972 in the Chicago, Illinois area.
Most items were purchased directly from Native American artists or from regional trading posts through the years. Some were purchased from art shows or markets. Many items are museum quality, others are new store inventory which was never sold.
Today, we carry on that tradition of balancing the support the Native American community and hunting for those vintage treasures.
