About us

There and Back Gems started with my passion for refinishing, refreshing, and restoring furniture. This passion then grew to finding other gems here and there, whether it is furniture, home decor, or clothing, and making them available to others for better sustainability for our planet. It is estimated that around 12 million tons of furniture goes into our landfills EACH year. Additionally, people throw away about 34 billion tons of clothing EACH year. By curating gems for others, and keeping perfectly unique, beautiful, and useful items out of landfills, I feel I am doing my small part in helping to reduce waste.
