The pictures in the advertisement didn't show the multiple defects; when I tried to initiate a return/refund the seller ignored me. It was not until Ebay stepped in that I was able to get a refund. I am not even sure if the whistle could honestly be described as "new."

The flute is a very basic instrument on the cheapest end of those available. Student instruments tend to be of better quality. This one does have some sharp edges. The whistle head does not fit the flute very tight and does wobble. I had to wrap some thread tape around it to get an effective seal. It is going to take a whiles to get used to it as so far the instrument tends to slide down my fingers. The lowest octave only requires a very light blow. Overall I am a bit disappointed.

The aluminium mouthpiece is a great improvement on the older plastic version I bought many years ago. It looks good too.
