Watchmaking is a practice rooted in history and tradition. Besides creating according to ability and look, historical watchmakers constantly strived to fulfill the needs of historical figures, i.e. watchmaking can be a form of ART.
Florence is called the capital of arts and its history is filled with names rich with history. Not long after Giovanni Panerai opened his first shop & watchmaking school at Ponte alle Grazie (1860) my great grandfather Raffaello began to develop a passion for gorgeous timepieces.
It was carried on by my grandfather who himself would take regular trips to Tullio Bigalli's supply shop. As collectors, we desire to share past feelings and old values in order to provide other collectors and timepieces' lovers such an awesome experience to simply shine.
