It was smashed on the sides the top the bottom and had one corner of literally blown out, but the pieces were carefully wrapped and tucked inside and we're perfectly fine! It is heavy and substantial, and it's a show piece and in an heirloom quality. I highly recommend the seller and the product. Shipping cost is comparable to the effort the seller had to make and also for the size and weight. Because of the size and weight, planning the installation location etc. in advance is a good idea.
