Open box means basically new. What I got was a beat to hell product that was placed in a box for a completely different item. Platters barely work. Did not show how scratched the item was in pictures. Took forever to ship and conveniently doesn't accept returns. For $20 more I could have bought it brand new with free shipping. I would avoid this seller at all costs.
