About us
I became involved with handmade jewelry unexpectedly after losing my job and experiencing heartbreak. In my brokenness, I found inspiration to create jewelry. As a single mom of two beautiful girls, I first learned this craft years ago when my daughter was in middle school. I began attending jewelry-making workshops at her school and enjoyed every session, as well as a few visits to the library for additional workshops.
My store name, “Rebirth Jewels & Gems,” signifies a new beginning for me, born out of the love I discovered for myself. Many of my designs come to me in the early mornings, and I sketch what I envision. Sometimes, I design from memory, adding or subtracting elements as I go along. I am still on a journey of self-discovery and understanding my purpose. In God, I put my trust.
