Osvaldo Calixto Amador was born in Havana, Cuba. At nine months old, he moved to Miami, Florida, with his mother and older sister.
Calixto holds a Master's degree in Sociology and a Bachelor's degree in History and Art. He has also studied psychology and philosophy, and he is a passionate admirer of Carl Jung's exploration of the unconscious and its symbols. His paintings are crafted with the precision of a wood sculptor carving timber. He enjoys directly incorporating natural elements, such as water and fire, into his artwork. His creations have received widespread acclaim.
