About us

I grew up in a rural place where I had lots of time to read. The shelves of the local library were magical to me. In my twenties, I worked at brick & mortar bookstores on both the east and west coasts of the United States while teaching and earning a graduate degree in literature.

In 2024, I founded Owl in the Attic Books with the simple goal of selling good books.

For me, good books are the ones that bring people pleasure. This is a broad category (and I like it that way).

I take pride in taking care of books as objects. The books I sell are in excellent used condition (except for occasional rare titles in acceptable condition). I package all my orders with care (boxes not bubble mailers) and hope that when your order arrives, you feel something like the magic of choosing a book off the shelf at your favorite store.
